Antai Textile's Production Boom Surges, Leading the Textile Recovery Season with Innovation and Resilience

In Zhangjiagang in July, the summer heat is intensifying, but the production workshops of Antai Textile are even hotter than the weather – strands of acrylic top are uniformly output from the carding machines, and after dyeing and drawing, they quickly turn into brightly colored acrylic top; in the adjacent workshop, the fancy yarn production line is twisting fluffy acrylic fibers into characteristic yarn with spiral patterns, which, after packaging, is about to be shipped to a clothing brand customer in Zhejiang. Li Xiong, the Marketing Manager, stands in front of the large screen in the central control room, watching the real-time jumping order data, and can't help but curl his lips upward: 'The industry data just released last week shows that the yarn output of enterprises above designated size from July 1 to 7 increased by 4.9% year-on-year. We have steadily caught this 'warmth' of the consumer market.'
Behind this 'warmth' is the market acumen accumulated by Antai Textile over more than 30 years. When it rooted in Zhangjiagang in 1993, the company targeted the niche market of acrylic fibers, and now has become a deep cultivator in the domestic fields of acrylic yarn, acrylic top, colored acrylic top, and fancy yarn. 'The active consumer market means that downstream brands' demand for raw materials is not only in quantity but also in 'newness' and 'specialty',' Li Xiong points to the order details on the screen, 'Look at this batch of 'rainbow acrylic top' shipped to Guangdong. The customer wants macaron color gradients. In the past, we might have to make white blanks first and then dye them, but now our colored acrylic top directly eliminates the post-dyeing process, which not only helps customers shorten the production cycle by 15% but also conforms to the environmental protection trend – this is exactly the 'green quick response' product we have focused on promoting in recent years.'
And this 'quick response' capability is even more precious when the raw material market fluctuates. On July 7, when the news came that Shandong Haijiang's 130,000-ton/year acrylonitrile plant had a temporary shutdown for maintenance, Factory Director Huang of the Production Department was inspecting the workshop. As the core raw material for acrylic fiber, the price and supply of acrylonitrile have always been the 'barometer' of the production end. 'At that time, I met with the Purchasing Department immediately,' Factory Director Huang recalled, 'We have long established a dynamic raw material monitoring mechanism. Half a month in advance, we predicted that some plants might enter the maintenance period, and have stocked up a 20-day safety inventory.' Moreover, the intelligent batching system invested by Antai Textile in recent years came into play at this time – by adjusting the proportioning parameters of different batches of acrylonitrile, the raw material utilization rate was further increased by 3% under the premise of ensuring product quality. 'Even if there are fluctuations in the spot price of acrylonitrile later, our cost and delivery stability can withstand it.'
In the workshop, the 'Fancy Yarn Innovation Workshop', which was just put into production half a year ago, is running at full capacity. Several devices equipped with AI visual recognition can real-time detect the twist and hairiness of the yarn, and automatically adjust parameters immediately once defects are found. 'It used to take at least 2 weeks to develop a new fancy yarn from design to mass production; now with this system, samples can be produced in 3 days,' Factory Director Huang pointed to a roll of yarn with slubs and knots, 'This is a custom 'breathable yarn' for a sports brand. Using the fluffiness of acrylic fiber combined with a special twisting process, the sports hoodies made from it are both lightweight and breathable. Just after it was launched last month, an additional 300-ton order was placed.'
This precise capture of market demand has allowed Antai Textile to gain a firm foothold in the industry tide. Data shows that from July 7 to 11, 2025, the textile manufacturing index rose by 2.96%, significantly outperforming the Shanghai Composite Index by 1.87 percentage points, and the industry prosperity continues to pick up. 'Over the past 30 years, we have moved from initial single acrylic top production to now being able to provide full-chain services of 'raw materials - yarn - custom solutions', relying on 'following the market and adapting to technological changes',' Li Xiong looks at the '1993' factory anniversary commemorative stone in the factory area, with a firm tone, 'The consumer peak season in the second half of the year is still ahead. Our colored acrylic top production capacity has just expanded by 20%, and the fancy yarn R&D team has also reserved 12 new autumn and winter products – letting more downstream customers use innovative yarns 'Made by Antai' is our best 'answer' to the industry's recovery.'
At this moment, the machines in the workshop are still roaring, and rolls of packaged acrylic yarn are being loaded onto trucks, heading to textile factories across the country. On this resilient textile hot land, Antai Textile is writing its own 'growth story' with more than 30 years of persistence and innovation.
