Antai Textile: 30 Years Deeply Cultivating the Acrylic Fiber Track, Dope Dyeing Technology Catches the 'Warmth' of the Consumer Market

(Main Text) In Zhangjiagang in July 2025, the summer heat is gradually rising, but the production workshop of Antai Textile is in order – intelligent spinning equipment is running at high speed, and rolls of bright-colored acrylic sliver are passing through the quality inspection line, soon to be shipped to home textile fabric enterprises in Zhejiang. Li Xiong, Marketing Manager, stood in front of the data monitoring screen, pointed to the latest industry report and smiled: "Look, the yarn output of enterprises above designated size increased by 4.9% year-on-year, and chemical fiber by 5.5%. We have to catch this 'warmth' of the consumer market."
Behind this 'warmth' is the structural change in the textile industry. The growth data mentioned by Li Xiong (from industry statistics) corresponds to the urgent downstream demand for differentiated and green yarns. "In the past, customers mostly wanted pure-colored yarns, but now more and more are asking for 'colored acrylic sliver', especially in the home textile and outdoor product fields. They want to save costs by eliminating the dyeing process, while requiring high color fastness and environmental compliance," he said, pulling out recent order records. The order volume of a leading outdoor clothing brand increased by 30% year-on-year, specifying the use of Antai's dope-dyed acrylic sliver. "This is completely in line with the trend mentioned by Huilong New Materials that 'dope-dyed fibers have wide applications' (News 9). The only difference is that they focus on polyester, while we specialize in acrylic fiber. Different tracks, but both are keeping up with the rhythm of 'upstream material upgrading'."
This敏锐 is no accident. Since its establishment in 1993, Antai Textile has focused on deep cultivation in the acrylic fiber field. From the initial conventional acrylic yarn, to taking the lead in布局 colored acrylic sliver in 2010, to now being able to produce more than 120 colors of customized products, it is backed by over 30 years of technical accumulation. "Dope dyeing is not simply 'adding color', but uniformly integrating color masterbatch into fibers during the spinning stage. The color fastness can reach level 4 or above, saving 70% water and 50% energy compared with traditional dyeing," Factory Director Huang from the Production Department took the reporter into the R&D center, where the walls were covered with patent certificates. "Just last year, we collaborated with Jiangnan University to develop 3 dope dyeing process optimization technologies. Now the color reproducibility of colored acrylic sliver can be stably above 98%, so customers no longer have to worry about 'color differences in each batch of goods'."
The confidence on the production side also comes from the calm response to raw material fluctuations. In early July, the Shandong Haijiang acrylonitrile plant was temporarily shut down for maintenance (News 2), and Lihuayi's quotation was reduced by 50 yuan/ton (News 3). As the core raw material for acrylic fiber production, fluctuations in acrylonitrile prices used to trouble many enterprises. But in front of Antai's intelligent production scheduling system, Factory Director Huang pulled up a set of data: "We analyze the raw material price cycle through big data, lock in 3 months of raw material reserves in advance, and at the same time reduce the raw material loss rate in the production process from the industry average of 3% to less than 1%. Look at this order – we received an urgent order from a Guangdong decorative fabric enterprise last week, and we completed everything from color matching to delivery in 3 days. The customer said 'it's twice as fast as peers'."
This flexibility oriented by customer needs has enabled Antai to accumulate a nationwide cooperation network over more than 30 years. From providing warm acrylic yarn for northern down jacket brands, to customizing fancy yarns for East China home textile enterprises, to the colored acrylic sliver for automotive interiors developed in recent years, the products cover clothing, home textiles, decoration, outdoor and other fields. "Last year, a customer making high-speed rail seat fabrics required the acrylic sliver to have a flame retardant rating of V-0. Our R&D team produced samples in 45 days, and now we have become their exclusive supplier," Li Xiong said. This dual advantage of 'technology + service' is the key to Antai's stable growth amid industry fluctuations.
Outside the workshop, trucks loaded with acrylic yarn slowly drove out. Li Xiong looked at the truck and said with reverence for the industry: "The textile industry is the capillaries of the real economy. After doing this for more than 30 years, we understand one truth – closely follow market trends and make products refined and specialized. Now the consumer market is active (News 1), and customers need more environmentally friendly and diverse materials. Our colored acrylic sliver and fancy yarns can just help them 'reduce burden and increase efficiency'. In the future, Antai will continue to deepen dope dyeing technology, so that more textile enterprises can use good materials that are 'both good-looking and worry-free'."
From a small workshop in 1993 to a specialized and sophisticated enterprise in the acrylic fiber field with an annual production capacity of over 10,000 tons today, Antai Textile has proven with more than 30 years of persistence: in the traditional textile industry, the real competitiveness always lies in keen market insight, persistent technical research, and attentive response to customer needs.
