Antai Textile: 30 Years of Craftsmanship Weaving Steady Growth in the Acrylic-Cotton Blended Market, Green Innovation Leading the Industry's New Future

In July in Zhangjiagang, the wind along the Yangtze River carries a humid and hot breath. On the desk of Li Xiong, Marketing Manager of Antai Textile, lie two documents: one is the newly released "2025-2030 China Acrylic-Cotton Blended Dyed Yarn Market Forecast Report", and the other is an industry analysis on recent acrylic fiber price fluctuations. "On one side is certain growth, on the other is unknown challenges—this is the daily life of us textile people," Li Xiong said with a smile, tracing an upward curve in the report with his finger. The report shows that over the next five years, the market size will grow from 15 billion yuan to 19.5 billion yuan, at a compound annual growth rate of 4.3%, with the proportion of high-end products exceeding 45% and green products expected to account for 28%.

This data reminded him of a conversation three days earlier with Factory Director Huang from the Production Department. At that time, Director Huang had just returned from the workshop, with some cotton lint still on the cuffs of his work uniform, holding a roll of indigo acrylic top: "Look at this batch of 'dope-dyed acrylic top'. Customers report that when made into acrylic-cotton blended fabric, its color fastness is nearly 30% higher than that of traditional dyeing processes, and it reduces wastewater discharge by 200 tons per ton of yarn." This aligns precisely with the "green product" trend mentioned in the report—with consumption upgrading, brand customers' environmental requirements for textiles have long shifted from "compliance" to "value-added", and Antai's colored acrylic top has exactly met this demand.

As a textile enterprise rooted in Zhangjiagang since 1993, Antai Textile's product portfolio has expanded from initial acrylic top to acrylic yarn, fancy yarn, and other categories. "In the early days, we established ourselves through 'stability'; the evenness and breaking strength of our acrylic top were renowned in the East China market," recalled Director Huang. "But the market has changed in recent years—customers now want not just basic raw materials, but 'solutions'." For instance, acrylic-cotton blended dyed yarn must retain acrylic's softness and warmth, cotton's breathability and skin-friendliness, and offer rich color expression—this has been Antai's key R&D focus in recent years. By adjusting the cross-sectional shape of acrylic fibers and blending ratios, their developed "Soft Warm Cotton-Acrylic Yarn" secured orders from three leading home furnishing brands last year, with first-quarter sales this year growing 22% year-on-year.

However, the "sweetness" of the market is always accompanied by the "bitterness" of raw materials. Recently, due to factors like crude oil fluctuations and supply chain changes, the industry predicts acrylic fiber prices may see sharp volatility in July. "This isn't our first time facing this," Director Huang said calmly, leading Li Xiong into the workshop and pointing to the跳动的数据 on the central control screen: "Look at this intelligent production line. We monitor raw material consumption in real time via an IoT system, reducing energy consumption per ton of yarn by another 5%; moreover, we've signed a three-year strategic cooperation agreement with upstream suppliers, locking in 30% of raw material purchase prices." More critically, its flexible production capacity—when Jilin Chemical Fiber's production fluctuated last year, Antai ensured order delivery by quickly adjusting the blending ratio of acrylic top with other fibers. "What customers want isn't the lowest price, but 'peace of mind'," added Li Xiong.

Emerging from the workshop, under the ginkgo trees in the factory, several veteran employees were maintaining an acrylic top machine imported in 1998. "This 'old companion' is still running, but we've added a new drafting control system, making it 15% more efficient than when it first arrived," Director Huang said with a smile. After 30 years of industry深耕, Antai Textile is no longer merely a "manufacturer" but a "value creator" from raw materials to finished products. Today, its acrylic yarn meets diverse needs from infant clothing to outdoor gear, and its fancy yarn has become "inspiration material" for many designer brands. Products not only cover over 20 domestic provinces and cities but are also exported to European markets like Poland and Italy via the China-Europe Railway Express.

"The market is like a loom: warp threads are trends, weft threads are strength. Only when both are tightly woven can the fabric be smooth," Li Xiong said, watching container trucks coming and going outside the factory. "Over the next five years, high-endization and greenization are the certain warp threads; our task is to weave the weft threads of 'technology', 'quality', and 'service' more solidly." In the volatile acrylic textile赛道, Antai Textile is crafting its own "steady growth" story with 30 years of craftsmanship and innovation.
