Antai Textile: 32 Years Deeply Cultivating the Acrylic Fiber Sector, Weaving a New Chapter of Textile 'Intelligent' Manufacturing through Raw Material Insights and Technological Upgrades

In July, Zhangjiagang is sweltering under the rising summer heat, yet the production workshop of Antai Textile is in orderly operation – crimson acrylic tops flow smoothly along the intelligent assembly line, and after drawing and twisting, they quickly turn into rolls of vibrant fancy yarn. Li Xiong, the Marketing Manager, holding the freshly printed weekly acrylonitrile market report, strides into the Production Department office. Factory Director Huang is nodding at the fluctuating production capacity data on the central control screen: 'The daily output of colored acrylic tops in Workshop 3 has stabilized at 8 tons, a 20% increase from before the renovation.'

Behind this conversation lies this textile enterprise, rooted in Zhangjiagang for 32 years, with an accurate grasp of the industry's pulse. Since its establishment in 1993, Antai Textile has evolved from initial single acrylic yarn production to a comprehensive supplier covering acrylic yarn, acrylic tops, colored acrylic tops, and fancy yarns. What underpins this growth is its acute insight and rapid response to the upstream raw material market.

'Look at this week's data: the domestic acrylonitrile capacity utilization rate has climbed to 76.20%, with a weekly output of 83,100 tons and inventory increasing to 45,800 tons,' Li Xiong points to the curve in the report. 'Jilin Petrochemical's new 260,000-ton unit will start production at the end of the month, and with Lihuayi lowering its quotation to 7,900 yuan/ton, the 'high-water period' for raw material supply may really be coming.' For acrylic products with acrylonitrile as the core raw material, every fluctuation upstream affects the production end – increased capacity utilization means more stable raw material supply, the commissioning of new units may bring cost optimization space, and increased inventory and price reductions provide a window for enterprises to adjust product structures.

Factory Director Huang takes the report, his fingertips gliding over the words 'Shandong Haijiang plant temporarily shut down for maintenance for 10 days,' and a look of understanding crosses his lips: 'This actually gives us an opportunity. The optimization of the raw material supply chain completed last week is now coming in handy.' It turns out that in response to the recent maintenance plans of some factories, Antai Textile signed 'dynamic supply guarantee agreements' with three acrylonitrile suppliers in Northeast and East China a month ago. Through staggered purchasing and inventory adjustment, it ensures that production raw materials are not affected by local shutdowns. At this moment, the 300-ton high-elastic acrylic yarn order being rushed in the workshop is benefiting from stable raw material supply, enabling delivery to the cooperative clothing brand in Zhejiang five days earlier than planned.

At a time when the raw material market is undergoing structural changes, Antai Textile's response goes far beyond 'stable supply.' 'Simply competing on cost is not a long-term solution; the key is to convert raw material advantages into product value,' Li Xiong says. On his desk lies a copy of the '2025 Q3 Product Upgrade Plan,' with 'colored acrylic tops' and 'functional fancy yarns' circled as key points. Relying on independently developed 'dope dyeing' technology, the colored acrylic tops produced by Antai Textile do not require post-dyeing, have a color fastness of grade 4 or higher, and save 60% more water than traditional processes, exactly meeting the current demand of clothing brands for 'green production.' In response to young consumers' preference for personalized fabrics, the R&D team has newly launched 'slub colored spot yarn,' which can present natural textures and gradient colors by adjusting the blending ratio of acrylic fibers and twisting processes. It just received intentional orders from 5 designer brands at the Shanghai Fabric Exhibition last month.

'Look at this 'starry sky yarn'; it uses our improved acrylic top formula,' Factory Director Huang takes Li Xiong to the sample area, his fingertips brushing over a roll of yarn with a fine luster. 'After increasing the purity of acrylonitrile, the fiber's toughness and gloss are better. Now even when woven into lightweight knitted fabrics, it is not easy to pill.' This dedication to craftsmanship stems from Antai Textile's 32 years of technological accumulation – from the commissioning of the first acrylic yarn production line in 1993 to now possessing a provincial-level technology center and 12 invention patents, the enterprise's annual production capacity has exceeded 8,000 tons. Its products not only cover more than 20 provinces and cities in China but also have passed OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification and are exported to markets such as the EU, Japan, and South Korea.

'After Jilin Petrochemical's new unit is put into production, acrylonitrile supply may be more sufficient, and we plan to increase the production capacity of fancy yarn by another fifteen percent,' Li Xiong writes down the new plan in his notebook. Sunlight outside the window filters through the blinds, casting dappled light and shadow on the slogan 'Antai Textile – Focused on the Acrylic Fiber Sector for 32 Years.' For this enterprise that has always resonated with the industry, every fluctuation in the raw material market is an opportunity for technological iteration and product upgrading; every inch of acrylic fiber extension is weaving a new story of the transformation of the traditional textile industry towards 'intelligent' manufacturing. And those crimson, lake blue, off-white... colors that have traveled from Zhangjiagang workshops to the global fabric market are weaving Antai Textile's professionalism and warmth into more people's daily lives.
